This is the first time I'll ever do a review! Oooh.. This is exciting! Anyway, for as long as I can remember, I have been a fan (an enthusiast, really.) of make-up. It started with lip balms, and evolved to brushes (which is a story for another day). 4 years ago, I got interested in trying out eyeliners. More specifically, liquid eyeliners. I have tried cream liners, automatic eyeliner pencils, gel liners, and liquid eyeliners. Mostly, I prefer liquid pen liners. I have been using Maybelline Eye Studio Hypersharp Liner for 3 years. It's easy to use, dries easily and the smudge is very minimal. My current stash of preferred eyeliner is dwindling. So I decided to try out new ones. Hence, the Nichido Liquid Eyeliner.
I bought this liner at Landmark. I was just browsing when I got curious to try out this product. Why, you ask? It just costs P68.00! A definite steal! So, how is it?
It comes with no plastic packaging whatsoever. It doesn't have any details other than its name and the 4 mL indication. It has a thin brush applicator that is flexible enough for you to control easily. The consistency is a bit runny as to be expected from a liquid eye liner.
When you apply it, it gives out a rather greyish opaque color. For a really black color, you have to apply 2-3 coats. It dries easily and with a matte finish. (As seen on the image below). For newbies, the applicator is fairly easy to control. Anyone can use it.
Smudges are kept into a minimal as long as you let it dry for a couple of seconds on your upper lash line first. It's not waterproof, and that is a bit of a risk for users. Wet your hands a little and it comes off. So if you sweat a lot during the day, it might come off. Also, be careful when rubbing your eyes while wearing this liner for it will definetly have a bit of smudging.
Over all, I give this product a 7 out of 10. It's a good buy for its price. Will I restock? Hell yea!
